Assumes model units are millimeters. Non-watertight source meshes can give wrong volume.

Mold-making checks

Put the pour sprue at the highest practical point in the final pour orientation.
Add vents at high points far from the sprue.
Avoid seam lines across high-detail faces.
The lid/carrier should positively locate the master so silicone thickness is maintained all around it.
Use release agent between master, silicone, and hard walls.
Use registration keys and straps/bolts to close the two walls.
For severe undercuts, increase wall/silicone split complexity in CAD.

Export note

This single-file browser prototype exports the generated wall geometry, pour/vent/key markers, and the original model. It approximates the custom silicone envelope by scaling the model outward and does not perform exact watertight offset/boolean subtraction of the model cavity. For production, use these exports as a CAD starting point and apply booleans/offsets in Blender, FreeCAD, Fusion, Rhino, or OpenSCAD.
